We didn’t sleep well although we didn’t get up early. We are not consistent I suppose.
During the night I realised I’d forgotten to unpack one of Denby’s deepest darkest cubby holes so… back to the M&C workshop. Luckily whilst we were there Jack agreed to fit WiFi and fix the cupboard light which had decided to light up all night.

Then off to camp. It was mid afternoon by the time we left M&C and after a false start we ended up in the middle of Driffield. We had cycled though Driffield on our C2C adventure a few years ago but hadn’t stopped so we were keen to explore.
A couple of places we’d previously bookmarked had closed and everywhere seemed busy but Jane snagged a table at the best Indian in town and we set off.
As we walked into town we realised why everywhere was busy. There was a massive steam rally happening in town. We settled into the Butcher’s Dog and watched hundreds of traction engines and elderly lorries drive by.

The curry was not great but very entertaining. I had to go to the ‘spoons across the road for drinks and the menu was floral.

We don’t have the Warisa chicken. We did have two lamb curries that were different colours but otherwise indistinguishable. The walk back through the traction engines more than made up for it.
